I was tasked with migrating the pixel art functionality from Liveblocks' SvelteKit pixel editor to the client's Next.js project. During the migration, I converted the codebase from Shoelace and vanilla CSS to ShadCN and refactored everything into TypeScript. The core features included pixel and layer management. I also delivered a range of extended features, including notifications, authentication, authorization, artist invites, comments with mentions and reactions, drawing history previews, social engagement stats, and distinct views for artists and speculators.
